White or apple cider vinegar is a well-known product because it helps with various cleaning tasks in the home. It has antifungal, antibacterial, and whitening properties, and helps neutralize musty odors. Thanks to this, white or apple vinegar is an ideal product for cleaning tile joints.

If you don’t have too much dirt buildup, mix 1/2 cup or 125 milliliters of white vinegar in ¼ cup or 62 ml of warm water. Once you have the mixture prepared, spray it on the joints of your tiles and let the preparation act for approximately 10 minutes. After this, rub with a brush or sponge and rinse with warm water and dry with a cloth.

To clean the joints of your tiles, you can also use apple cider vinegar. Here, we will use apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar, and 125 milliliters of water. Then you will apply the mixture to the joints with a brush and wait 5 minutes. Afterward, you can clean with a cloth soaked in hot water.

3. Water with bleach or ammonia works as a joint whitener

Bleach and ammonia are products that help you clean, white, and disinfect the area where you apply them. They are one of the best options when there is a lot of dirt buildup because they are stronger substances. However, for this very reason, these products should be used with greater care when cleaning to avoid accidents.

To clean, you must mix 30 ml of bleach or ammonia in half a liter of warm water. Once you have mixed it, apply it with a sponge or spray on the joints that you want to clean with the preparation. You should let the bleach or ammonia act for 5 or 10 minutes. After this time, you can start scrubbing the joints with a brush and, when you see them spotless, you can rinse.

Keep in mind that you should never mix bleach and ammonia, as they can produce toxic fumes for your health. When you go to use these products to clean, wear gloves and plugs. Avoid applying these products if children are present.
