The Sam Raimi trilogy began in 2002 and saw Spider-Man become a new audience, thanks to the cast of Tobey Maguire in the role of Peter Parker and Kirsten Dunst as his long-time beloved Mary Jane Watson.
After the conclusion of the trilogy and the aborted plans for the fourth Spider-Man film, the Spider-Mani series was revived through Sony and featured Andrew Garfield taking over the Spider-Man role in two films in which he played Peter Parker and Emma Stone as his love lover Gwen Stacy. Both films were directed and written by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer).
However, it was announced that the Amazing Spider-Man film series was ended after Sony Pictures made a deal with Marvel Studios to have Spider-Man be a part of the highly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Tom Holland took over the role of Peter Parker as Spider-Man and joined the cast of Iron Man and Captain America in the MCU films, starting by appearing as Captain America in Captain America: Civil War.

Sam Raimi trilogy. Sam Raimi trilogy
1. Spider-Man (2002)
Sam Raimi introduced the internet-bashing slinger onto large screens in top form in this blockbuster that has received acclaim that sees Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) confront the iconic Green Goblin/Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoe).
This trip also gives us a glimpse of Kirsten Dunst, who plays Peter’s lover, Mary Jane Watson, and James Franco as Norman’s son and Peter’s best buddy, Harry Osborn.
The film also offered the first appearance by J.K. Simmons in the role of J. Jonah Jameson and gave us one of the most famous cinema kisses.
2. Spider-Man 2 (2004)
The most awe-inspiring film in Raimi’s trilogy Spider-Man 2 is widely regarded as one of the best superhero films ever made superhero name generator. It follows Peter Parker’s battle with the frightening Doctor Octopus and Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina).
If that wasn’t enough Peter has to face an identity dilemma about whether or not he should continue to play his character of Spider-Man while Peter is watching MJ go on with her romantic and professional life.
In another place, Harry Osborn grew increasingly discontent with Spider-Man which led him to discover a sinister secret.
3. Spider-Man 3 (2007)
The final film of Maguire’s Spider-Man was an error, as it ate way more than the movie could swallow by the inclusion of three villains none of which really appealed to the public.
While it’s still a huge financial achievement, the harsh critical response to the film, especially an unwise dance sequence, eventually prompted Sony to relaunch the franchise, with a new leading actor and a new continuity.
However, Spider-Man 3 does have its fair share of critics. There are a few excellent moments, while the feature does a decent job in wrapping up character plots that were outlined prior to the beginning of the series.
The film finds Peter at the top of the world while experiencing challenges in his love affair and love affair with Mary Jane before an alien symbiote begins to see some disturbing transformations taking place. In another scene, Harry returns as the New Goblin for revenge on Spidey and Peter finds out who was accountable for his uncle’s death. Ben.
The show also includes new characters with the likes of Sandman/FlintMarko (Thomas Haden Church) Venom/Eddie Brock (Topher Grace), Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard), and Captain George Stacy (James Cromwell).

1. The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Andrew Garfield took over the web-based shooters for this new reboot, which tells the story of Spider-Man’s tragic start in a more grounded fashion.
Emma Stone co-stars as the tragically ill-fated Gwen Stacy, while Rhys Ifans is the character of the troubled scientist Dr. Curt Connors, who is better known by his supervillain alter ego: The Lizard.
Although not groundbreaking, many critics agreed that The Amazing Spider-Man was an enjoyable and exciting new spin on Marvel’s smart-cracking wall-crawler.
Martin Sheen stars as Uncle Ben Parker in the film Martin Sheen plays Uncle Ben Parker, while Sally Field portrays Aunt May Parker and Dennis Leary plays Gwen’s father, Captain George Stacy.
2. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
The problem is that here’s where it all got wrong (again).
Sony wanted to expand the Spider-Man franchise into a sprawling cinematic universe, rivaling that of Mainline MCU but in the end, they went far too quickly.
The result is a film that is far too long, overloaded with villains, and semi-incomprehensible from a story perspective, once again putting the future of the franchise in doubt.
Based loosely on part Death of Gwen Stacy storyline The movie is a battle between Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man against Jamie Foxx’s Electro/Max Dillon Dane DeHaan’s Green Goblin/Harry Osborn, and Paul Giamatti’s Rhino.
Emma Stone returned as Gwen Stacy and Peter and Gwen’s relationship being the focus of attention once again as Peter is a victim of guilt due to the loss of her father, Captain George Stacy.
The film also had Big Little Lies star Shailene Woodley in the role of Mary Jane Watson but her scenes were cut off to the floor of the cutting room.
Also, keep an eye out for one small appearance by Felicity Jones in the role of Felicia Hardy, who has been an Oscorp employee, but would likely be The Black Cat if Sony’s Spider-Man Cinematic Universe was to have taken off according to plan.
It’s not going to knock the socks off you, though it might be worthwhile to get familiar with this film before watching Spider-Man: The Last of Us: There’s No Way Home.
It’s worth noting that although the film can be boring, Andrew Garfield once again demonstrated the reasons he was an excellent choice for the suit. In which country superheroes are available?
